Ferry to Uminonakamichi, a peninsula across the bay from Fukuoka City.
Ferry leaves from Hakata Port Bayside Place ferry terminal.

From Hakata Port:
First Ferry: 09:20. Last ferry 16:25
Also at: 10:35, 12:10, 13:30, 14:55
From Uminonakamichi:
First Ferry: 09:55. Last ferry 18:13
Also at: 11:30, 12:50, 14:10, 15:45, 17:05
Note the last ferry is the Shikanoshima Ferry, which calls by on its way to Hakata Port.
Ferry route is Hakata Port -> Uminonakamichi
Journey time: approximately 25 minutes.
Fares: (as at May 28th 2001)
Hakata-> Uminonakamichi: 500 yen adult single
Child fare is half adult fare.
Tickets;
Buy your tickets from the machines at the far end of the Bayside Place main concourse. The machines have English destination labels and are easy enough to manipulate.
If you miss the last ferry home, take the train from Uminonakamichi Station, or a Bus.
