South east of the city in the area beyond Hakata station.

Fukuoka airport is just a few minutes from the city, and there is much of interest in the general area. Beyond the airport is Hakata-no-Mori, a recent sports development which brought world class sports facilities to Fukuoka for the World Student games of 1996.
Check out the pulldown for other items of interest in this part of the city. Of particular note is the Immigration department which is adjacent to terminal three at the airport.
On the subway line, 5 minutes from Hakata station and 11 minutes from Tenjin. Access by car is either directly or on the Expressway.
