Josui dori and Minami Park (Qjmp: 19014)
Boutiques and salons in a select residential area on edge of park.
Josui Dori
Josui Dori (Road) winds up the hill from Yakuin to Minami park. "Off Josui Dori" is the most coveted address amongst those for whom these things matter and the area contains numerous boutiques and an assortment of antique, coffee, clothes and flower shops. Of particular note are "Ca Ca Romance", a shop devoted to chocolate in all its sensuous forms, and Marjori Orchid - an expensive but good flower shop. "Salt & Pepper" is a Cajun restaurant and an excellent lunch spot.
Be warned that the hill, although not steep, is definitely a hill and best not tackled on foot in the heat of summer. Drive or take a bus (anything to the the Zoo)
Minami Park
Large area of parkland containing the Zoo and Botanical gardens as well as woods in which to wander. The viewing platform at the top offers an excellent view over the city - indeed, this is probably the highest viewpoint.
