Mixture of residential, business, retail and restaurants, there is nothing to draw the casual visitor to this area for itself, but its location adjacent to Tenjin, Hakata and Nakasu means you will often pass through it.
It's crammed with little bars, places to eat in, places to be eaten in and places to get lost in. There are more than few gay bars here and the whole area generally has a slightly racy image - 'though it is very discreet.
