Famous bathing beach in peaceful country fishing village.
Keya Beach viewed from Keya village.
Keya beach lies sheltered in Keya Bay offering excellent swimming in a safe environment. In "the season" it gets packed, with a range of "beach sheds" -
Keya Bay from Keya Oto Park.
vast covered areas offering food and the like for those who want the sea but cannot bear the sun. In general, best appreciated slightly "off season". Other than the beach sheds, there are no public facilities except toilets.
Sorry - our pic was taken OFF season and does not do the beach justice.
Keya is on route 54 - there are lots of ways to join this - the most direct is probably by taking route 566 off route 202 west of Maebaru, then joining route 54 to Keya. Keya is well signposted. Once you get into the Keya area, turn left at the dark red convenience store and then straight on past the car-park for the beach.
