Marine World Uminonakamichi

Large Aquarium a short ferry/train ride from city.
A major attraction of the Uminonakamichi Seaside Park, Marine World has 20,0000 marine organisms of 350 species.
Variety of shows with dolphins, seals and sharks. Lots of ocean specimens and educational displays including a walk-through tunnel aquarium. Outdoor auditorium seats 2000.
NOTE: May's Fukuoka City Guide staff have not yet visited this location.
23 minutes on municipal ferry from Hakata-Futoh (Bayside Place) to Saitozaki (then walk down) , or 23 minutes to Uminonakamichi. There is also a 15 minute high speed ferry from Marizon (Momochi) to Uminonakamichi.
