This temple originated in Dazaifu but was moved to its present location in Chiyo after it became the Kuroda family temple.
The temple has a narrow entry off Daigako-dori (that runs in front of Kyudai Hospital) with a tiny little entry area with quaint little shops selling temple nick-nacks. Go through the giant gate and you are in a large, wide open area. To your left is a temple building from which emanates strong incense. Walk down the long stone path and see the statue on the left inside a small covered subshrine. In the far corner of the grounds is an interesting, if small, one story pagoda building.
It is about 200metres up from the hospital entrance on daigakko dori on the Chiyo side, about 300 metres from Higashi Park.
10 min from Maidashi-kyudai-byoin-mae st'n on foot.
