Cheap lunch in atmospheric little French cafe...

"Bonjour" has something many places strive for and few achieve - a genuinly "French" feel to it. It is the "France" of the little village cafe complete with red plastic tablecloth rather than of a posh metrepole, but no less charming for that. The food has no particular pretensions to authenticity but is tasty and excellent value. Lunch is a choice of three set dishes (they rotate from a total of 5) - one of which is usually fish based. They do a large fishburger sandwich with chips (french fries) and salad (it tastes better than it sounds), and various meat and pork dishes - the portions are fair, the price a meagre 700yen. A further 300yen buys a choice of dessert and cup of espresso.
The evening dinner set is 2600yen and offers a similar range. It includes coffee and dessert. The cafe is open on one side and there is even a useable little pavement table.
If you want a cheap, tasty, filling lunch close to Ohashi station, this is an excellent place to go.
On Nisseki dori close to Ohashi station. By train: out of the front of the station to Niiseki dori. Turn left and walk fown to Best denki. It is on the opposite side of niiseki dori, on the corner. By car - down Nisseki dori to Ohashi best denki.
