Applied has a range of stores dotted around the periphery of the city. They offer software, reasonable prices on peripherals (Mac/Win) and Wintel machines, and an "own brand" range which is particularly inexpensive. They also carry the usual range of items for the "build-your-own" market. They are a particularly good place to pick up a monitor.
Ohashi Store
Good parking - large size store with ok range of second hand boxes. Not much for mac fans unless you are looking to pick upa second hand box.
Second hand Applied are one of the few computer chains to carry a range of second hand computers - usually wintel but with some Macs. These vary in price - some are better value than others. If you buy second hand, do check that you will receive some kind of guarantee and the precise details of that guarantee. Also check that what is stays on the sticker describing the machine is precisely accurate....
If you enjoy a good poke around through new and non-new equipment, larger Applied stores are good clean fun. That said, they have the most annoying, repetitive, music/announcements (in multiple languages) I have encountered in this dear city.....
