Surviving In FukuokarestaurantsFor symposium and conference visitors.Bars and Clubs
You are in: Fukuoka: Places To Go: Chouenji

Type: Temples/Shrines  (Qjmp: 7068)

Unusual and interesting water jars on this local temple.

Absolutely not a temple you would cross town to visit but if you happen to be in the Yakuin
Dragons Two
or Kego area the receptacles at the base of the water down pipes include a pair of very ornate dragons, quite unlike anything you are likely to see elsewhere in the city and very much worth a look.

If you have more information about them, please let us know at the feedback address below.

While you are in the area, have a look at the ornate modern iron doors of the temple 20 metres further down the same road, on the opposite side.

On the road between the "Lawson's" on Kokutai-dori and Yakuin Mutsukado.
